When I was just starting my foray into technical diving I got involved with a group of divers exploring the Tilly Foster Mine in Brewster, NY. My involvement with this project includes finding and exploring one of the horizontal mine shafts and several dives to the 200′ range investigating a literal pile of stolen cars, pushed into the water decades before.
